Last week I had the incredible opportunity to take the stage at Inman On Tour Nashville, held at the iconic Country Music Hall of Fame. It was my fourth Inman conference but my first time attending (and speaking!) in Nashville, which made this experience all the more special.
The panel I was part of focused on a topic that’s been front and center in my business lately: Navigating a Buyer’s Market. Tennessee’s real estate market has been favoring buyers for some time, which presents both challenges and opportunities for agents. As buyer behavior shifts and the market evolves, having a strong strategy for representation and staying competitive is more important than ever—and that’s exactly what we dove into during the discussion.
Breaking Down the Buyer’s Market
One of the biggest takeaways from our panel was that today’s buyers are more informed, more selective, and more patient than ever before. With more options on the market and negotiating power in their hands, agents have to step up their game when it comes to guiding clients, setting expectations, and showcasing value. We covered everything from leveraging new construction incentives to mastering buyer consultations—both of which have played a huge role in my own business in Knoxville.
A Fun and Inspiring Trip to Nashville
Beyond the panel itself, it was a blast getting to spend time in Nashville, soaking up the energy of the city while connecting with fellow agents, brokers, and industry leaders. There’s something about being in a room full of like-minded professionals—sharing ideas, learning from one another, and gaining fresh perspectives—that’s always inspiring.
Plus, let’s be honest—a quick trip to Nashville is never a bad idea! From the vibrant atmosphere to the amazing food (I may have made a necessary stop for some hot chicken), this trip was just as fun as it was valuable for my career.
Why I Love These Opportunities
Speaking at Inman On Tour reinforced just how important it is to keep growing, learning, and adapting in this industry. No matter how much experience you have, there’s always a new perspective to gain or a fresh strategy to implement. I left Nashville feeling energized and ready to help more buyers navigate this market with confidence.
Thank you, Inman, for the opportunity, and thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to such a great discussion. Until next time, Nashville! 🤠🏡
