Christmas in Farragut: A Season Full of Festivities and Fun
The holiday spirit in Farragut this year is unmatched, with a variety of activities to fill your calendar and bring the whole family together. From ice skating to light displays, here are some must-see events to enjoy the season’s magic.
Campbell Station Skate (Nov. 23 - Jan. 4)
Head to Mayor Ralph McGill Plaza and glide into the holiday season on Farragut's synthetic ice rink. Open from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM daily, this unique rink is surrounded by a brilliant display of holiday lights that create a truly enchanting atmosphere. With nearby shopping and dining options just a short walk away, you can easily make a day of it with family or friends.
All Is Bright (Nov. 15)
Mark your calendar for the arrival of Santa at The Pinnacle on Parkside Drive. From 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, experience the wonder of a winter wonderland with snowfall, a festive parade, and stunning floats. It's the perfect way to kick off the holiday season with excitement and joy!
Countdown to Light the Park (Nov. 25)
Join the community at Founders Park for an illuminating experience as Farragut flips the switch on more than 100,000 holiday lights! This free event runs from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM and includes live entertainment, kid-friendly crafts, and festive photo ops. As Santa lights up the night, it’s a celebration of community spirit you won’t want to miss.
Hot to Trot 5K/10K and Fun Run (Nov. 28)
If you're looking to burn off some pre-Thanksgiving calories, join the Hot to Trot race, a fun tradition hosted by Fleet Feet Knoxville. Starting bright and early at 7:30 AM, participants can choose between a 5K, 10K, or a mile-long Fun Run. The event is a fantastic way to work up an appetite and enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday in the company of friends and family.
Tennova Farragut Frosty 5K (Dec. 13)
Kick up the holiday spirit with this chip-timed run at the Farragut Community Center, taking you through the decorated streets of Village Green. Whether you're a serious runner or just there for the holiday atmosphere, this event is a festive way to stay active and embrace the season.
Cookie Walk & Craft Fair (December 7 from 9am-noon)
One of my personal favorites, the Cookie Walk & Craft Fair at Faith Lutheran Church, is not to be missed! Grab a box and pack it full of your favorite Christmas cookies as you stroll through the room, admiring crafts and holiday treasures. This charming activity is a great way to pick up a treat (or several) and get into the holiday spirit!
Festival of Lights at Cove Park (Dec. 1 - Dec. 31)
Each night, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Cove Park transforms into a mesmerizing festival of lights. Enjoy the beautiful displays, walk through the park, and even meet Santa on Friday and Saturday nights. While the event is free, donations of non-perishable food items for The Love Kitchen are greatly appreciated.
Light the Park (Nightly)
Founders Park will continue to shine each night, with a breathtaking display of holiday lights you can visit at any time throughout the season.
With each of these events, there’s something for everyone to enjoy in Farragut this holiday season. From the active to the artistic, our town is truly lighting up with festive cheer!
