Dogwood Arts Festival 2026: Knoxville’s Most Beautiful Spring Tradition 🌸✨
If you’ve spent even one spring in Knoxville, you know—this is the season our city truly shines.
The dogwoods start blooming, the weather is perfect, and one of my favorite events of the entire year returns: the Dogwood Arts Festival.

April 24–26, 2026
World's Fair Park
963 World’s Fair Park Drive, Knoxville, TN
Hours:
-

And the best part? It’s completely free to attend.
Why This is a Can’t-Miss Knoxville Event
This isn’t just a festival—it’s a full experience and such a perfect representation of what living in Knoxville feels like.
Held right in the heart of downtown, the park transforms into a beautiful, walkable space filled with:
-
Over 100 juried fine art vendors
-
Live music across multiple stages
-
A local Maker Market
-
Food + drink vendors
-
Activities for kids and families
-
Interactive art demos and workshops
It’s fun, it’s social, and it’s one of those events where you can easily spend hours just walking around, exploring, and enjoying the atmosphere.
And fun fact—this festival has been around since 1961 and was recently ranked #3 Best Art Festival in the U.S.… which honestly doesn’t surprise me at all.
What I Personally Love About Dogwood Arts
For me, this weekend always feels like the official kickoff to spring.
It’s:
-
Walking through the park with a coffee or cocktail in hand
-
Finding unique pieces from local artists
-
Running into people you know (because you will)
-
And just soaking in how pretty Knoxville is this time of year
It’s one of those events that makes you stop and think, “This is why I love living here.”
Make It a Full Knoxville Day
If you’re planning to go (which you should), I always recommend turning it into a full day downtown.
Start with brunch, head over to the festival, and then stay downtown for dinner or drinks after.
Everything is so walkable, which makes it feel effortless—but still elevated.
Don’t Miss the Dogwood Trails 🌸
And if you really want the full experience—pair the festival with the Dogwood Trails.
Every April, you’ll start to notice pink lines painted on roads throughout Knoxville. Follow them, and they’ll take you through some of the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city filled with blooming dogwood trees.
There are over 90 miles of trails across 13 neighborhoods, and it’s one of the most unique (and underrated) Knoxville traditions.
Perfect for:
-
A Sunday drive
-
A walk or bike ride
-
Or even showing clients around the area 👀
Why This Matters for Knoxville Living
Events like this are such a big part of what makes Knoxville special.
You get:
-
A strong sense of community
-
Beautiful outdoor spaces
-
A thriving local arts scene
-
And a calendar full of things to do
It’s the kind of lifestyle people are actively moving here for—and once you experience it, you understand why.
