A Knoxville Holiday Tradition: Fantasy of Trees 2025

One of my very favorite holiday traditions is coming back this year—East Tennessee Children’s Hospital’s Fantasy of Trees, presented by Axle Logistics. If you’re looking for an event that captures the magic of the season while also giving back in a big way, this is it.

Each year during Thanksgiving week, the Knoxville Convention Center is transformed into a winter wonderland filled with twinkling lights, beautifully decorated Christmas trees, and the spirit of community. In fact, Fantasy of Trees has become the holiday kickoff event in East Tennessee for over 40 years, drawing nearly 60,000 visitors every year.

What You’ll Experience

Walking through the Fantasy of Trees truly feels like stepping into a storybook Christmas village. You’ll see:

• Over 350 designer trees of all sizes, each uniquely decorated

• Holiday mantels, wreaths, centerpieces, and door displays—all available for purchase

• The Adopt-a-Tree forest, decorated by local schoolchildren

• Unique holiday gifts and accessories, perfect for adding cheer to your home or gifting to loved ones

Every display is designed to sell, which means not only can you soak in the holiday magic—you can take a little piece of it home with you.

More Than Just an Event—It’s a Fundraiser

Beyond the beauty and tradition, Fantasy of Trees is the largest fundraiser for East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. Last year alone, the event raised more than $1.9 million to support the hospital’s Area of Greatest Need. That means every ticket purchased and every tree or decoration sold helps impact the health and lives of children across East Tennessee and beyond.
